This is an antique picture frame from the late Meiji period in Japan. The frame is made of silver/ metal with and features a rectangular shape suitable for portrait orientation photos measuring 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches. The frame has a rear-loading photo insertion type and can hold one photo. It is decorated with Japanese dragons, which are believed to bring good fortune, luck, happiness, and protection. The frame is small, measuring less than 5 inches in height and width. Does not have glass but would be something you can add if you would like.
