Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, the successor of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, which was founded on December 18, 1917 on the initiative of prominent statesmen, cultural figures, artists at the time of great hopes and difficult tests for Ukraine. The main goal of the first higher educational institution in Ukraine was to cultivate an art school based on the traditions of national and world culture.

On the obverse there is a coin: on the top there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine, followed by the year of the issue of minting in 2017, the semicircular inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE; in the center there is an octagon on a mirror background in the frame of a plant ornament depicting the profile of the goddess Minerva - the patron of arts; beneath - denomination - 2 ГРИВНІ; to the right is the logo of the Banknote Mint of the National Bank.

On the reverse of the coin there is a picture of the building of the academy, under which the years 1917 and 2017 are marked; inscriptions: 100 ROCKS (above) and the NATIONAL ACADEMY OF EDUCATIONAL ART AND ARCHITECTURE (below).
