Streamline your networking management system with the flexibility of the Vertiv Avocent AV3216 KVM Over IP Switch. Designed for IT professionals, the AV3216 connects multiple servers and serial-based hardware devices together, allowing technicians to deploy updates and manage data easily.

The AV3216 supports up to sixteen total KVM connections with VGA, DisplayPort, DVI, and HDMI equipped targets. OSCAR on-screen display technology allows users to access and manage the AV3216 on a local level or via Web User Interface remote connection. You can also use optional Avocent DSViewTM software for a cohesive management solution across your business. Enhanced security features include 128-bit SSL, AES, DES, and 3DES encryption to keep your highly classified information and hardware connections safe. Smart card and CAC readers are also protected, giving you another level of password safeguarding with two-factor authentication capabilities.

Local Access Support
The AV3216 supports two local access points, allowing you to access your connected equipment from two locations. Two VGA ports allow you to connect displays with a resolution up to 1680 x 1050 and 1600 x 1200 for 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios, respectively. Eight USB ports are divided between the access points, allowing you to connect two keyboard and mouse setups while also supporting peripherals such as thumb drives so you can easily manage each target.
Remote Access
The AV3216 supports a single local access user as well as a remote user in standard mode. In sharing mode, additional authenticated users can share sessions with up to four total users.
Expansion Capabilities
You can scale your AV3216 to meet growing business needs with a tiered design that allows cascading capabilities, offering consolidated management of up to 256 devices. USB, PS/2, Sun, and serial target devices are also supported.
User Access Control
Manage user accessibility with integrated control options. Grant access to specified users or implement LDAP directory authentication parameters, limit KVM access to specific targets, and enable smart card or CAC readers to support two-factor authentication. You also gain single-stack IPv4 and IPv6 access.
On-Screen Display
Graphical multilingual on-screen display simplifies system configuration and server selection, streamlining your in-house process.
Consolidated Design
The AV3216 can be installed in 0 RU and 1 RU configurations for easy installation in server racks or even desktop setups. CAT-5 thin cabling saves space while providing a strong connection up to 98.4 feet between your device and the switch. Modules and access cables automatically assign and retain unique server names for each attached server, keeping your system neat and organized.
Additional Access Ports
The back of the AV3216 also features three RJ45 ports allowing you to connect to your LAN network, connect your console setup, and expand your usage with an ACI connection.
