This is the original 'Chrome Version' which features chrome effect front grille, wheels ( the two front wheels and the 4 outer rear wheels in chrome, the 4 inner wheels are grey - all as originally supplied by LEGO ) and the ends of the oil and fuel tanks.
This model was launched in 2006 and retired a year or so later.
All bricks are in an amazing condition considering that they are 18 years old. Any new pieces I have purchased have all been new stock.
All pieces are counted and the model is 100% complete.
The stickers are in excellent condition, with no fading or peeling. One or two show minor signs of wear but you would need to look closely to see this.
This model is partly operated by 1st generation LEGO pneumatics which operate the rear lift frame and is powered by a finger-operated pump, as shown in the photos. The pump, strut and switch work as they should but I've replaced the 3 pneumatic pipes with genuine new stock as these are crucial to the pneumatic function.
The jib raises and lowers, the extension extends and contracts and the hook winds out and in, all these functions, which are controlled by knobs, together with the pneumatic switch, are situated behind the two Garage Services panels on the side of the model which are hinged at the top, all as shown in the photos. The support legs lower and raise by a knob on the top of model, the forward roof knob operates the steering. The bonnet hinges forward to display the engine.
This is a large model with a 58cm length, 19cms wide and 42cms high with jib raised, 22cms with it lowered. Top of cabin is 23cms.
The build manuals for this model are in good used condition, some pages have been re-stapled and strengthened and one small tear has been repaired with clear tape. The manuals for the alternative, forward - control model, look like they've never been used.
The box has suffered a bit from 18 years of storage; there are creases and scuffs and the outer lid is slightly concave. The inner lid has been repaired with tape and the tray has been reinforced, but it is all solid and secure. I've seen 3 year old boxes in a worse state.
Model has now been dis-assembled in reverse order and put into sealed bags dependent upon their colour or function. All sticked pieces will be in a separate bag to protect them, as will be the pneumatic function items. A small selection of spare pieces will be in a separate bag. Photo of the bagged items has been added. Bubble wrap will be used to keep the contents safe, the whole box will be overpacked by cardboard to further protect it.
For UK buyers the free p&p is either Royal Mail or Parcel Force 24 hour delivery, fully tracked and insured. If the delivery address is outside of their 24 hour delivery area if will come as a 48 hour delivery.
For non-UK buyers we will only sell using the eBay Global Delivery Programme. The above free delivery will get it to the eBay UK sorting hub only, all charges, fees, duties and taxes etc from then on will be for the buyers account.
