This bass has been heavily modified. Sire basses are fundamentally great. Quality wise, they can stand up with instruments that are much more expensive. to me the only thing lacking on them were the pickups. Not bad, but lacking any real personality (in my opinion).
So, I decided to add a pair of Nordstrand pickups (cost me almost as much as the bass itself!):
Bridge: Custom Big Splitman - Cross between a Musicman and a 'roided Jazz Bass. Got a punch like an angry mantis shrimp.
Neck: NP4a: Classic P bass, only more so. all the depth and grind you could ever want.
Electronics have been removed (I can include them when you buy), so the bass is passive trust me, you don't need the preamp!
Electronics are V master vol , blend, master tone plus a three way switch for the Big Splitman (Front/Parallel/Rear).
Frets have also recently been levelled and dressed so the bass plays great.
This is all topped off with a relic job so it now looks as badass as it sounds. If you like the road-worn grungey look then this is the bass for you.
