After making their record debut with , they made their major debut with Capitol Records in 1986. Later, with a 1990s golden-era lineup that included guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza, they released their first album in March 1993, following the release of their 1992 album Countdown to Extinction. announced their fourth performance in Japan, including the Nippon Budokan performance.
