Here's an early Keene diamond hobnail geometric inkwell blown at the Marlboro St Glass Works in Keene, New Hampshire in the 1820s...it is grouped by McKearin as GIII-29 and harder to find than the Coventry inkwells....Diamonds with hobnails around the inkwell with ribbed band around base....Also a ribbed ring around top shoulder edge....Hand blown in 3 part mold....open pontil.....applied disc top with 3/8"dip opening.....pretty olive amber color....1 3/8"tall x 2 1/8"round....Excellent shiny attic nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean inkwell. This is one the finest examples of this Keene inkwell that I've ever had.
