This is a set of six vintage 10-1/2 inch diameter dinner plates by John Aynsley of England in the Gold Dowery pattern.  This pattern was retired in 1996.   These plates are in superior condition appearing to have seldom been used.  There are no chips, no cracks, no stains, no haze, no crazing, and no gray utensil marks. The elaborate and extensive gold decorations remain intact and shiny.  See pictures.

If you are a fan of English bone china and the Hollywood Glam style, then you will want this set of plates!  These bone china plates were made in the England by the John Aynsley company.  The plates feature an elaborately decorated 5/16 inch wide band of gold at the rim.  The 1-3/4 inch wide plate rim is further decorated with a 1/16 inch wide gold line and delicately drawn swag and wreath-like illustrations in a golden color.  The plate's center is banded on the outer area with another 1/16 inch wide gold band followed by a thin line of gold.  The plate rim is a creamy ivory which flows to the outer portion of the plate center.  The plate center is a crisp white.  The plate underside is ivory.  These plates are absolutely stunning!  The plate dimensions are 7/8" H, 10-1/2" diameter, and weigh 1 lb. 5.5 oz. each.  These items will be well packed in a heavy duty box to help ensure safe delivery.
