Gretsch Vintage Cadillac Green Duo Jet Tailpiece

All vintage Gretsch Jets (Duo Jets, Jet Firebirds, Silver Jets) from 1954 - 1962 originally came with chrome short "G" tailpieces.

The single exception to this was the run of 50 Cadillac Green Duo Jets in 1957 and two more (as is currently known) Cadillac Green Duo Jets made by Gretsch in 1958 (these can be distinguished by their 1958 features of thumbnail inlays and an ebony fret board.  There is one for sale currently in the UK that was initially brought here by the Seller. That dealer fails to mention that the pickups on that guitar have been rewound and to the wrong spec for Gretsch deArmonds.)

This is one of the 52 known jet sized short gold G tailpieces issued by Gretsch in the vintage era. It is not a reissue; for starters all reissue Gretsch G tailpieces have the ripples on the top as did the vintage poste ~ 1964 ones.

The only rarer vintage Gretsch part is probably the 1950s White Penguin smaller sized Cadillac G tailpiece.

The seller acknowledges that 6130 Round Ups would also have had a gold short tailpiece but those all had the western belt buckle welded on.

Trades - The seller is as much if not more interested in some sort of exchange for vintage Gretsch parts he is seeking.  Please contact to discuss.

Free shipping is offered to the UK. This is available worldwide as seller estimates there are only about 5-10 people who need this part (their Cadillac Green Duo Jet tailpieces having been changed at some point for e.g., a Bigsby).  For shipping elsewhere please message seller.
