Superb, heavy, antique suitcase from the early 20th Century

Made by Darnbrough & Sons, Trunk and Portmanteau Makers, of 53 Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough

It has a brass badge on either end, depicting a flying stork, carrying luggage in its mouth

Made of wood with oiled, brown canvas stretched over the outside

Leather handle and edging

Brass catches, locks, studs and feet

No key

Linen lining, with fastening straps

Excellent condition. The stitching is still intact. Some scuffs, scratches and marks but nothing significant. There are a few watermarks and stains inside and some small areas of corrosion to the white metal band around the edge. Please examine photos carefully as these are part of the condition description
