Carl Scheidig, today known both as a modeller of wonderful porcelain figurines, and a highly successful businessman, studied what was being produced by his competitors, and produced what was missing. As dealers visited all their regular porcelain manufacturers, looking for something new, they almost always ended up at Scheidig’s, and buying the unique and different pieces from him. He began his factory wit 3 employees in the early 1900s  and 7 years later, he was employing 160.
