Lens glass and metal barrels and rims are in excellent cosmetic conditions. Glass in pristine super clean conditions. Items were carefully used by an amateur astronomer. All three DeepView eyepieces can be used in any telescope with a 2.0” focuser. Each eyepiece features a three-element design with a 56º apparent field of view(52º AFOV for the 42mm). The optics are fully multi-coated to improve light transmission and protect the optics. 

With most telescopes you can often see objects in the sky better with lower power and a wider field of view. This is especially true when going after faint, expansive deep-sky objects such as nebulas, galaxies, and star clusters. Using larger, less powerful 2" eyepieces and accessories lets you increase the true field of view of your telescope and lower the magnification of you observations, which makes finding objects easier while letting you explore a larger "window" of night sky. With these benefits in mind, we developed the Orion 2" Telescope Accessory Kit - a complete set of 2" accessories for your telescope. This assortment of 3 DeepView eyepieces, a 2" Barlow lens, and a carrying case provides a perfect introduction to the advantages of deep-sky viewing with 2" telescope accessories.

-Start your wide-field observations with the 42mm DeepView eyepiece:

Use the included 42mm DeepView 2" eyepiece to obtain bright, low-power views through your telescope. The 42mm DeepView provides a wide 52° apparent field-of-view, and a big 38mm diameter field stop for exploring wide swaths of sky. All DeepView 2" eyepieces boast 20mm eye relief - the optimal distance between your eye and the eyepiece lens to obtain a clear image of the entire field-of-view without any vignetting. The 42mm DeepView eyepiece weighs 13 oz.

-Use the included 35mm DeepView eyepiece to take a closer look:

To increase magnification, swap out the 42mm with the included 35mm DeepView eyepiece for a higher-power view. The 35mm DeepView provides a wider 56° apparent field-of-view, and a substantial 37mm diameter field stop. As with all Orion DeepView oculars, the 35mm model features multi-coated 3-element optics with blackened lens edges for great contrast. The 35mm DeepView weighs 12 oz.

-Insert the 28mm DeepView eyepiece for even more magnifying power:

For an even more powerful view than the 35mm or 42mm eyepiece, insert the included 28mm DeepView 2" eyepiece. The 28mm DeepView boasts a wide 56° apparent field-of-view and a 27mm diameter field stop. Like all DeepView eyepieces, the 28mm model is threaded for use with 2" Orion filters. The 28mm DeepView weighs 10 oz.

-Double the magnifying power of 2" eyepieces with the included 2" Barlow lens:

The included 2", 2x Barlow lens allows you to double the magnification of any of the three included DeepView eyepieces. This allows you to achieve a total of 6 possible magnification options with the Orion 2" Telescope Accessory Kit (resulting magnification of each eyepiece and Barlow/eyepiece combination depends on the focal length of your telescope). The versatile 2" Barlow comes with a handy 1.25" step-down adapter so you can also use smaller 1.25" eyepieces with it to double their magnifying power.

Metal Case: 

The sturdy metal carry case has die-cut foam inside to protect and cushion your accessories. Store each one in its appointed place when not in use and you’ll keep them looking and performing like new. The case is even large enough to carry a few extra accessories. Just pull out enough of the foam cubes to make a nest for your eyepiece, camera adapter, etc. A tight fit is better, so remove the least amount of foam possible before testing the fit. You can always remove more if you need to.

**Unit will be carefully packed and secured in order to avoid any damage during shipping. A sturdy mailing box will be used to avoid impacts and vibration during shipping and handling.
