A solid sterling silver toast rack, UK hallmarked from the prestigious London retailer, Harrods.

A rare Edward VIII piece, being hallmarked in the only year of his reign (1936), with his proclamation being in the January and abdication in the December of that year.

Hallmarks: UK hallmarks for sterling silver, London assay office, date letter for 1936, makers mark for Harrods.

Approximate Dimensions: 10cm tall, 8.5cm long, 6.5cm wide, weighs 97 grams. Designed to hold 4 pieces of toast.

Condition: Very good to excellent.  A quality piece of silver, that has retained its shape and is without damage (no bending / heavy nicks etc).  The hallmarks are clear.  There is a little tarnish at the joins.
