What a superb survival! I have 5 of these early Hooper Coachbuilder drawings.  Only one of the five is dated but all are of a similar year.  All are finely drawn on stiff white card and are in excellent condition.  The card has black edges with lightly rounded corners.  All of them have a printed Hooper's mark at the upper left,  PLEASE RETURN THE DRAWING across centre band HOOPER & CO Ltd.  In the upper left segment 54 St JAMES St LONDON SW and in lower right segment TO HIS MAJESTY AND HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES.

I have shown the drawings to a Rolls-Royce specialist who believes that none of the chassis are R-R.  However from the care and detail taken in the drawings it is clear they represent specific manufacters chassis.  This can also be seen in the different radiators and bonnet arrangements.  This car has a small round? radiator with no detail and is chain driven.

The reverse is plain but appears to have been stuck down at some time as there are glue marks.

It will be a shame to split up these five drawings and if any potential customer wants to buy them all they should contact me by email at the address below on my website.

The drawing is part of a large collection of artwork built up over the last 45 years to act as reference for my website about art and artists -  www.motoringart.info look here to see more details about this artist who was an active motoring artist.

As I reach the age of 80 it is time to sell so everything must go!
