This is a pen and ink sketch by George Lane for The Motor magazine, illustrations for a story by Stanley Sedwick about driving a Darracq published in 1949.  Shows the Darracq outside  an Inn THE ELY with other veteran cars and people in the background.

I am not a specialist in veteran cars but this looks like a circa 1904 Darracq - is this Genevive?

On the reverse is part of The MOTOR EDITORIAL DEPT handstamp also other stamps no date just printer's instructions.  This is the third of the three illustrations of the Darracq the other two are dated 9th November 1949.  Artwork is mounted in a mount overall size 24 x 31 cm.

This is from my collection held as a reference for my website about motoring art and artists -  www.motoringart.info look here to see more details about this artist

As I reach the age of 80 it is time to sell so everything must go!
