This is a really lovely antique 19thC pocket fob watch, and a far higher quality piece than most fob watches out there.
The hand carved 41mm diameter silver case is in excellent order, all covers fitting together as they should. All covers including the outer rims are exquisitely decorated.
The hallmarks are all crisp and clear, and indicate a Chester assay mark of 1888.
The English fusee movement is in excellent condition, engraved with the retailer Langdon Davies & Co, Birmingham.
It winds smoothly without slippage and runs very nicely and pretty accurately too.
It comes with it's protective edge ring.
The enamel dial is pretty much faultless, and complete with lovely blued-steel hands.
This is a simply gorgeous pocket watch... definitely worth a bid or two!
