This tool box is in quite good shape for its age.  To the right of the pliers, there is a drop of red plastic melt with an even smaller white drop of paint. More tiny white drops along the top surface. Some mild surface scratches and oxidation as you can see from the photos.

The lid closes but it is as it is lowered into its clasp, it is ever so mildly ajar.

I am including the book because I think it is a good match. It also has shelf wear but is a great reading copy.

You probably noticed the tool box is empty.
