The action never stops as the riveting adventures of the rowdiest wizard guild in Fiore continue!

The mighty members of Fairy Tail push their powers to the limit in an explosive battle to rescue Lucy and save their home base from annihilation. When Erza's long lost pals kidnap her for a plot to awaken a forbidden evil force, the strongest team will move mountains - or destroy an island - to free her. Then, Magnolia's streets turn into a warzone when a livewire pits his guild mates against each other in a scheme to overthrow Master Makarov and take over! As battle after battle wears the wizards thin, will they pull together in time before everyone gets fried?

Friendship--a sacred bond at the heart of many anime series--comes to the fore in these episodes of the hit slapstick-adventure Fairy Tail. As the stalwarts of Fairy Tail battle the sinister Phantom Lord Guild, they and the viewer learn that Lucy is a member of the fabulously wealthy and powerful Heartfilia family. But she's rejected her cold, mercenary father for the warm loyalty of her friends. When Natsu goes one-on-one with Jaleel the Iron Dragon, the audience gets a glimpse of his latent powers, while Gray inadvertently wins the heart of morose water-wizard Juvia ("drip, drip, drop"). Lucy's loyalty is tested when she discovers the shady background of Guild lothario Loke, but she brings his sad story to a satisfactory conclusion. The series takes a darker turn when Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Juvia learn about Erza's unhappy childhood in a sinister tale that pits the Guild members against their most deadly foe to date: Jellal, the servant of Zeref, a god who is the embodiment of hatred. But even in the most dire situations, the filmmakers leaven the threats with a healthy dose of slapstick: Natsu fights two of Jellal's minions with his head stuck in a kawaii (ultra-cute ) cat mask. Before the gang has time to celebrate their latest victory, they're threatened by the Thunder Legion. Their leader, the lightning-wizard Laxus, intends to wrest control of Fairy Tale from his grandfather, Makarov--even if it means killing the innocent citizens of the surrounding city. Much to their chagrin, Natsu and Gajeel have to join forces to defeat Laxus. The ending suggests even greater foes are lurking in the wings and that the wizards of the Fairy Tail Guild have been manipulated from behind the scenes. Although these episodes offer more action and less humor than previous installments, Fairy Tail remains as entertaining as ever. (Rated TV 14: cartoon violence, minor risqué humor, alcohol use)
