⭐FINEST KNOWN⭐ 1929 $5 Gainesville National Bank PMG Gem Uncirculated 66EPQ C2C

Don't fall for "High Grade," "Superb Grade," "Awesome Grade" uncertified notes being offered online.  Most of the time, there is a reason why they are not in a third-party grading company holder.  Think about it.  It's a multi-million dollar epidemic.  Avoid being taken advantage of!  Message me for details.

Here is a very attractive, colorful and crisp 1929 $5 National Bank Note from Charter #5867 (The Gainesville National Bank, Gainesville, NY) with nice sharp edges, square corners, clean paper and excellent eye-appeal.  The brown color on the seal and serials is dark and bold.  The Friedberg number is Fr. 1800-2 (Type 2) and the treasury signatures are Jones-Woods.

This note has been freshly certified and graded by PMG as Gem Uncirculated (CU) 66EPQ, which makes it an ideal grade for collectors looking to put together nice sets of upper-tier, highest quality material.
In fact...

...The number of known small size notes from this financial institution stood at only seven (7) before this example turned up.  And the highest grade out there thus far -- before this -- was a middle-tiered Very Fine.  This 66EPQ is not only the finest known for all issues and varities from this charter (including the large size), but it is the finest known by a MILE.  Plus it's a Gem+ Unc.

Gainesville is a tiny Wyoming County town located about an hour outside of Buffalo with a population of just over 2,000.  It would be fair to say that it is very rural in nature -- both then and now -- with agriculture dominating its humble economy.

The best part of this note's grade is the "EPQ" that was awarded by PMG.  For those of you out there just starting out in the hobby, its a great idea to look for original, exceptional paper quality when shopping for notes.  Greedy dealers of today and yester-year have dreamt up a number of ways to "improve" a note's appearance to unsuspecting and untrained eyes in an attempt to maximize profits (pressing, chemically treating, etc.).  The sad thing about this is that such deceitful and unnatural tactics ruin a note's originality forever.  I am proud to say that this note has not fallen victim (yet) to these tactics, as evidenced by the "EPQ" on the holder.

I have a full-blown, no-questions-asked return policy, so feel free to buy the note with the expectation that it can be returned if you are not satisfied.  I will even pay for your return shipping.  But I have a feeling that you won't want to return it once you have it in your hand.

I will be listing over 200 notes over the next couple of months (I am downsizing my collection some) so be sure to check back with me, or better yet, add me to your favorite sellers list.  I just received back several hundred notes from PMG and there is a lot of exciting, rare, high-grade stuff in these stacks.  Almost my entire collection is decent, quality material.  I have worked hard on developing my "eye" for original, problem-free notes over the years and have been cherry picking shops and shows for over a decade.

Thanks!  Please email me with any questions.  I will be highly responsive to all inquiries.
