ABOUT THE BOOK
The publication of the novel Lemondasos in 1931 also marks the first appearance of Kosmas Politis in Greek letters. This is the novel that fascinated many generations of readers, establishing its creator in literature. The first-person narration is reminiscent of diary pages. The premise of the play is the youthful love between two young people. On one side, Pavlos, a professionally successful young Athenian architect and on the other, Virgo, a cool girl from Poros, of Greek-Belgian origin. Second heroine of the work, Leda, for whom Pavlos admits that he feels a certain dark attraction. The fluctuations, the difficulties of love of that period (since the narrative time coincides with the time of publication of the work), the confinement between the physical and the spiritual love, the choice between the pure priestess of Aphrodite (Virgo) and the nun of the Middle Ages (Leda), make up the framework of the first novel of Politis.
