P52ar / G267r u Prefix Z - REPLACEMENT u GEF
Guernsey banknotes issued before the outbreak of WWII are
all scarce; quantities issued were small and relatively few have survived. Many note types are true rarities with just a
handful being known in private collections.
This series, however, was issued first in 1980.
Obverse (front) – Green on a multicoloured underprint. Guernsey
seal at bottom left; Picture of the Old Market Square circa 1830 in underprint
at the centre.
Reverse (back) – Green; portrait of Daniel De Lisle Brock to the right
with the illustration of Royal Court, St Peter Port 1840, in the background.
Grading - GEF - A very attractive note, with light handling. Paper is
clean and bright with original sheen. Corners may show only the slightest
evidence of rounding.
Size – 135mm x 67mm approximately.
