For your consideration is an incredible antique decorative mortise door lock manufactured by in the late 1800's.  The lock is unbranded but carries the mark 5418.  The latch & bolt are made of brass.  The lock body and face plate are made of cast iron.  The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled.  Dimensions of the face plate: 5-3/4 x 15/16", distance between the face and center-of-hub (set back): 2-1/2", distance between center-of-hub and center of the key-post is 2-3/16".  Comes with functioning skeleton key.  Please look at the pictures carefully as they are considered part of the description.  Make sure to ask questions before you bid.  Thanks for looking.
