The
present lot consists of 9 lovely QSL cards sent in 1964-1966 from diffrent US
States to a Canadian address. A QSL card is a written confirmation of either a two-way radiocommunication
between two amateur radio stations or a one-way reception of a signal from an
AM radio, FM radio, television or shortwave broadcasting station. It can also
con-firm the reception of a two-way radiocommunication by a third party listener.
A typical QSL card is the same size and made from the same material as a
typical postcard, and most are sent through the mail as such. QSL is one of the
Q codes used in radiocommunication and radio broadcasting. QSL means "I
confirm receipt of your transmission".
The
first QSL card has been franked with the 5¢ Amateur Radio stamp. Look at the pictures
– what you see is what you get – and good luck.
