The treatment is fancilful and magical as if the viewer was flying with the birds above the earth.

This work is an oil pastel drawing on coloured Artists Pastel Paper which has been backed to make it more durable. The drawing has been varnished with matt acrylic artists varnish to protect the surface and enhance the depth of the colour.

I love to spend time in those high and lonely places, watching and feeling the wind, the birds, the trees, the grass. Elemental things, which I long to make into paintings. Back in the studio, I use sketches, memories, imagination and photographs to create my work.
