Dopo aver indossato l'abito per un'intera giornata, si consiglia di lasciargli il tempo di riposare su attaccapanni preferibilmente di legno, con la spalla sufficientemente sagomata. Prima di essere riposto nell'armadio, ogni capo dovrebbe essere aerato possibilmente evitando l'esposizione al sole, spazzolato preferibilmente con una spazzola in fibra naturale. Sacchetti di pot-pourri contenenti la canfora o la naftalina sono ottime armi naturali. Consigliamo di ricorrere alla tintoria solo se strettamente indispensabile in quanto a causa dei solventi usati, ogni lavaggio a secco impoverisce le fibre naturali, mutandone le caratteristiche e riducendo la vita del vostro abito. Attenzione anche alle stirature fai da te: i tessuti potrebbero "lucidarsi" irreparabilmente.
