This auction is for a "gorgeous" Effanbee Little Lady/Anne Shirley doll from the 1940s. She's 21" tall, made of composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips being strung, all "long" fingers intact. Doll is marked "EFFANBEE ANNE SHIRLEY" on her upper back. I do notice one leg seems slightly "longer" than the other leg, I believe this is a flaw with this doll as I have had others with this same issue, nothing terrible but need to mention. Her composition is a pretty skin tone and in great condition to be 80+ years old.  She retains her Effanbee heart bracelet on her wrist. This is a vintage doll with some overall wear, light composition crazing, I do not see any cracks; there are some imperfections on her dress.  Please click on photos to enlarge to view on each photo as my photos serve as part of my description.  Her face has some light crazing that you will see better when you zoom the pics.  Such a "sweet" face with open and close blue sleepy eyes that work fine, she has her upper human hair lashes intact, painted lashes below the eyes, subtle brush stroked brown eyebrows, closed mouth. Her long human hair blonde wig has a few hairs out of place but is charming. "Anne Shirley" comes wearing her "original" organza gown and panties, she wears stockings and shoes. The beautiful overlay on her dress has some tiny stains and "melting" throughout, tiny holes. Dress has snaps down the back, a few loose threads, it needs a light overall cleaning if possible.   Doll and clothing do not have any offensive odors. Her doll stand is included with her.
