This wristlet strap (7" drop) is perfect for everyday use.

This bag has 4 different size outer pockets, of which 3 have zippers and one has a velcro closure (perfect for a cellphone).  Also there are 2 narrow pockets layered on the phone pocket which could hold slim type pens or pencils.

As just two examples:  This pouch could be used for workouts, holding keys, wallet, a cloth and essentials.  Or as a toiletry bag during travel – there is enough space to keep a shaving kit and/or other important travel accessories and medications.
