This very late Daimler 250 with
power-assisted steering, was in its first ownership for 42 years, as part of a
major classic car collection of an enthusiastic motor engineer. The car has
been well maintained and kept undercover and and kept in a heated motor house.
It was the subject of a thorough
restoration a number of years ago including a bare metal repaint in Jaguar
Moorland Green with the correct lead loading of joints and seams. During these
works, the owner decided to create the ultimate 60's "Q car" by
fitting a 4.2 XK straight six engine with around 220 bhp available, but
retaining the original and discreet Daimler features such as twin exhaust pipes and badging.
The Moorland green paintwork is
complimented by the original, suede green leather upholstery and a perfect
green cloth headlining. The car is thought to be one of the final Daimler 250s
produced and registered in April 1969.
(Above information from auction in 2013)
The car is currently in commercial

I haven’t seen underneath but I understand
