Squier Made in Japan E Series Contemporary Stratocaster from 1987
Structurally sound - no breaks or major damage, even the cutaways beside the neck join don't have the common lacquer cracks
Frets do show signs of wear with some indentations remaining but recent reprofiling and polish means they play really nicely
Neck - is in good order with age related indentations to the back, minor wear to the fretboard, but the usual aging along the edge.
Similarly the headstock is sound but with some dings / marks as expected
Body - the body has quite a few dings / indentations with a few going through the paint, but nothing awful and certainly consistent with a 36 year old guitar
Other bits - the rear cavity cover isn't original (it’s a USA fender cover), but the holes all line up as they should (although only fitted with 4 screws),
System One trem - two finer tuners are replacements (can’t tell without looking closely), trem arm included but it’s very loose. Locking “nut” all in order with alan bolts. Currently set up with the trem decked - I’ve used it as a hard tail.
