Card companies did a great job
putting out cards, but did you ever wish they made some different choices? This
is a lot of 56 “faux” homemade cards representing what they might have created. This lot contains 56 faux 1975 Minnesota Vikings cards, including a Vikings Team card, Hub Meeds, Bud Grant, Fran Tarkenton, Bob Berry, Chuck Foreman, Dave Osborn, Ed Marinaro, Oscar Reed, Bill Brown, Brent McClanahan, John Gilliam, Jim Lash, Sam McCullum, John Holland, Stu Voigt, Doug Kingsriter, Steve Craig, Mick Tingelhoff, Ed White, Andy Maurer, Steve Lawson, Milt Sunde, John Ward, Ron Yary, Grady Alderman, Steve Riley, Charles Goodrum, Alan Page, Gary Larsen, Doug Sutherland, Bob Lurtsema, Carl Eller, Jim Marshall, Dave Boone, Jeff Siemon, Wally Hilgenberg, Fred McNeill, Roy Winston, Amos Martin, Matt Blair, Nate Wright, Bobby Bryant, Paul Krause, Jeff Wright, Terry Brown, Randy Poltl, Joe Blahak, Fred Cox, Mike Eischeid, 1974 Highlights - Chuck Foreman, 1974 Highlights Nate Wright, 1974 NFC Playoffs, 1974 NFC Championship, Super Bowl IX, and Mary Richards.
These homemade cards are considered "ACEO"
cards, which stands for Art Card Editions and Originals. These cards are standard baseball
card size (2½ x 3½ inches) and were printed on 100# cover weight paper, about
the same thickness as a postcard.
There are several things that make
these cards different from other ACEO cards on E-Bay:
1. There are backs!
Many other ACEO cards on E-Bay have blank backs. The cards in this auction have backs with great info.
2. Time-appropriate pictures.
Special attention was given to find pictures that really could have been used
in the card sets they represent. In other words, the 1975 cards have pictures
that either are confirmed to have been from 1974, or certainly could have been
from that year. This gives the cards a certain authenticity that really brings
forth a surge of nostalgia.
Since these are homemade cards, please
bear in mind that some pictures are clearer than others, and some cards are cut
better than others. Of course, the watermark on the image will not be on the
card you receive.
Thank you for your interest and take
a look at my other ACEO sets and cards!
