Comes now at auction, the renown Sigma DP1 (the wide angle lens of a set of three cameras (DP1, DP2 and DP3)  said by some  reviewers to produce the best images short of medium format. It uses the remarkable Foveon sensor and if you are not already familiar with the Foveon, please check the reviews and commentary, much of which is passionate. A quick overview of all the fuss is that the Foveon produces discrete pixels of pure color (as opposed to interpolated color which can be muddy) which result in sharp & intense images.

This is a small, light, plastic camera which fits in a large pocket. The fixed lens is about 19mm which is relatively wide and definitely not all-purpose. There is a smallish LCD panel and no viewfinder (the VF-11, among others, is available as an add-on). To access the image files, you used to have to use the Sigma Editor (horrible but effective) but currently other Adobe programs can read the files so that longstanding problem of producing near orphan image files has been mostly resolved.

In order to produce usable image files, the camera should be used at ISO 100 or 200. The files are big and slow to write to the SD card. The battery life is not good. The user interface is not excellent. Functionally the camera is not robust. But when you have enough light and enough patience, you can get images which are extraordinary with good detail & vibrant colors .

The DP1 camera at offer is in excellent condition except for a few abrasions on the LCD and bottom which I still rate as Good. The camera functions perfectly. I am including a snap on lens hood, one battery, a battery charger, a camera strap and an SD card. So you can take it out of the delivery box and start shooting (you will probably want to order another battery so you can always have a fresh one).

I'll say again that this is not a general purpose camera and is best when you have a lot of light (although it can be fine indoors with its onboard flash). And please note that there is another series of DP cameras named "Merrill" which is newer than the DP1, DP2 and DP3 and significantly more expensive.

Some photos are with the attachable hood and some without. I am always open to your questions.
