Description

GBD Prehistoric, 9442 Saddle Pot
Craggy Blast Ring-Grain, Pre-1980
HAND CUT Stem, Very Near Mint!

Offering an early GBD Prehistoric, in a slightly small pot, shape 9442, with a saddle stem. Prehistoric is GBD’s name for their sandblast finish, and this one does not disappoint. The pipe has a rugged handsome exterior, in great shape, has no issues. The top rim is smooth finished and rounded, so it won’t burn from lighting up. Bowl interior is well-seasoned, and has a thin cake, with the draw hole bottom center, so it should be a good smoker. Stem is definitely original, is made of quality vulcanite, looks very well-cut with the beveled edges and rounded button. It has no noted tooth wear, and is in great shape, stamped HAND CUT on the side. Pipe weighs in about 1.2 ounces, it draws easy. It’s freshly polished and ready to smoke!

I offer Pipe Consignment, message me for details, if interested!
Please see my other Auctions! Combined shipping of multiple items no problem, wait until auctions end to pay, and I’ll send a combined invoice! Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner, pipe stand not included with any pipe. Click photos BELOW to enlarge, and see more photos! Returns OK before you smoke any pipe.
