Here’s a retro DR GRABOW in the RIVIERA, which has a normal tenon mount stem. Here's a little info on the RIVIERA model, as referenced on Pipedia: RIVIERA (c1963) -- Riviera -- Buick, I think first produced for model year 1963, which would have made it known in 1962.
The bowl is made of imported briar, and has a rich darker brown stain. The exterior of the bowl is in nice shape, light surface wear to finish. The inside is nicely seasoned, draws easy, should be a good smoker at around 60+ years old. Stem has just a hint of tooth chatter, has the yellow-colored spade logo, and mounts with a normal tenon. Trimmed with a metal band and does have a small stinger which should be removable. The pipe weighs in at about 1.2 ounces. Freshly polished and ready to smoke!
