Item Description :

This is a vintage Japanese pottery vase, which was made by a great potter, Seitoku Kawai (1927-2010) about 40 years ago.

He was one of the greatest modern potters, who won one of the greatest awards, the blue-ribbon award of Nitten exhibition in 1962. And, won the Prime Minister Award of Nitten exhibition in 1989. In addition, he received the Award for Cultural Merit from Kyoto prefecture in 1992.

The seal of the potter is stamped around the bottom.

The original wooden box with the signature of the potter & the profile of the potter are also included.
