This is a vintage tea bowl of Japanese Satsuma Ware, which was made by one of the most famous potters of Satsuma ware, the 13th Jyukan Chin about 80-90 years ago.

The signature of the potter is written on the bottom.

The wooden storage box with the signature of the potter is also included.

(About Satsuma ware)

Satsuma ware originated when the Shimazu prince of the Satsuma domain in southern Kyushu abducted skilled Korean potters after Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Japanese Invasions of Korea to establish a local pottery industry. After display at the international exhibition in Paris in 1867, it proved popular as an export to Europe.
