A true treasure for any baseball fan, this Reach Official American League Ball is signed by 17 members of the 1931 New York Yankees ball-club, including the iconic Sultan of Swat, Babe Ruth, whose complete and prominent signature is affixed beautifully across the sweet spot; and the Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig, whose complete and highly-legible signature is boldly displayed on the ball’s east panel. Other Hall of Famers who have added their signatures include Bill Dickey, Tony Lazzeri, Red Ruffing, Earle Combs, and Herb Pennock.

The added notation above Ruth's signature, "Aug 12, 1931," commemorates a double header against the Cleveland Indians, making this ball even more special. It is unknown who’s hand the inscription is in.

The ball is in excellent shape—especially considering its time on the planet—with no foreign substances having been applied to it at any point through the years for preservation or repair. The ball has maintained a great level of whiteness and overall vibrancy, especially in the red and blue stitching.

The piece comes is accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA). An incredible piece of baseball history, and a must-have for the serious collector.
