This extremely clean vintage Simpson Model 142 VU meter, marked Ampex 142 on the Faceplate

is in excellent condition and comes from a non smoking home.  

 The meter measures 4.25 " x 4.0". The movement appears free and smooth.

I no longer have the means to test, but this Model 142 VU was removed from an 

active audio transmitter feed. 

Typically these meters were found in Ampex Tape recorders, high quality audio boards 

and other vintage audio gear in the '60s and '70s.

The meter show is the exact one you'll receive. It will be very securely packed for safe arrival.
