Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. 1965 mild custom. 

Built in California, finished in a dark purplish/ red metallic (Lexus colour it turns out) that really pops in the sun. Interior has bucket seats up front and is well upholstered. My other half reckons its the most comfy car shes ever ridden in.

I have replaced the old 2-speed auto with a 200-4r 4-speed auto out of an 80s Cadillac which has transformed the driving experience. 

Gas mileage has improved from 16mpg to 20+mpg! 

It really does drive nicely, just about everything works as it should. Its rebuilt 330 inch engine will cruise 70-80 all day and starts on the button.  Power (drum) brakes & steering as you'd expect.

Wheels are 17" torque-thrust style. with low profile modern tyres really do help with the handling. 

Faults: there is some bubbling here & there on the body, especially along the upper glass - common on these apparently- it hasn't gotten any worse since I've had it. The chrome on the bumpers has some rust spots.  

But the chassis & underbody is solid as a rock.
