This large rustic looking vintage copper saucepan was found in France and so is assumed to be of French origin.

Over 2 kg in weight.

It has been tinned on the inside and has the initials P J stamped into the copper.

Approx size:- 25 cm in diameter at rim X 23 cm diameter at base X 12 cm deep X 28 cm length of handle X 51 cm total length (pan plus handle)

The handle is secured to the actual pan with three very large rivets.

The end of the handle has been formed into a ring to facilitate storage.

It appears to have been much used and has received various bumps, scratches and scuffs.

The tinning has become marked and worn over time.

The handle is very securely attached.

There is a very small (approx 5 mm) split in the handle near to one of the rivets. This could possibly have occurred during the manufacturing process.

There is some surface oxidisation to the handle.
