Okay, all the small talk. Don't feel compelled to read if you don't want to.
I'm divesting myself of all of my collectibles. Well, almost all. There are a few things I will probably keep but, mostly, I need to get rid of it. I'm tired of storing it all and moving it all with me each time I move, and we do have a planned move coming up. I've already moved most of my collectibles into a storage unit. But everything I sell, is one less thing I need to cart across the state with me when the move finally happens.
That said, I am not giving stuff away. I'm not trying to dump it off cheap just to get rid of it. I know what I have, and I know the value of what I have. I worked in the comic/card industry for 30 years, so I'm not some clueless bumpkin who found a bunch of stuff at a garage sale (which means quit sending my lowball offers: I'm not going to accept them, and it just makes you look bad, especially when you get angry when I don't accept them). So, yeah, worked in the industry, so I know how to care for my items, and they have been well taken care of. I have high quality items and expect offers to match what I have. Be aware of that if you want to ask for a bulk deal or whether I have other items not currently listed. I want the money from the sales of my stuff, but I am not desperate for the money, so I'm not going to entertain foolish offers (like $40 for a $250 card (with excuse being that I don't want it anyway) or $10k for my MINT Magic collection which includes a complete Beta/Unlimited set).
Oh! and, yes, sometimes I do just throw things in the trash. Even things worth money. If I have it listed and you're interested in it, but no one is bidding, there's no guarantee I'll stick it back in it's hole. If it's not selling, and I don't want it and don't want to keep storing it, there's a good chance it will end up in a landfill somewhere.
So good luck with the bidding!
