Working order

Bevelled glass face, with rotating pointer arrow and adjuster screw to the back.

18cm x 8cm deep

Good used condition for age, with some superficial wear, marks, tarnishing and some case cracking, to the barrel. 

Heath & Company was founded by George Heath in London in 1845.  Primarily a manufacturer of thermometers and navigational instruments, they used the Hezzanith trade mark on many of their instruments.  Around 1937 they were incorporated with W F Stanley & Co Ltd.  They were still in business in the 1960s.
