I bought this in Cambridgeshire in 1997 and it was all original save some of the paint . I sold the original 150 super motor, wheels and hubs and set about converting it to 10" wheels and a PX200 engine.
Engineer friend welded a new floor in (before you could easily get them) and it is galvanised steel and still solid .
I have some 8"super wheels spare that I was going to convert it back with one day.
I welded a discreet scaffold eye in
underneath to get a lock through. Steering lock works also and key present.
Over the years it was my rally and workhorse up until about 2005, often riding it to nationals and abroad,  had a tuned T5 motor,  a sidecar for a while and steadily became sidelined by other scooters and vehicles but I've kept it out of nostalgia if anything. About 10 years ago (and about 3000 miles at most) I rebuilt a PX200 engine into a NOS casing with a sip 12hp barrel.
The scooter runs nice and true and doesn't wobble if you remove hands from bars.
There's a big pic of it in Sticky's fairly recent 2018 "Scooterboys" book too.
In the last 5 years I went to work on it a couple of times and one fast trip to the last scooter weekender in Antwerp where I had been on it many times.
During the lockdowns I oiled it up and tucked it under a dust blanket and just turned the motor over now and then while I was and am using other scooters.
It's never liked speedos and the latest one mileometer works but the needle doesn't.  I have a new spare indian rally 200 face one and some knackered ones for repair or disdain.
It's a faithful and nippy vespa that is on the road ready to go that will take serious distance in its stride and it's time for it to get a new chapter in its story I think .
