Antique Disston cast iron keyhole saw blade handle. The handle is approx. 11 cm long. It has an end opening to slide in a blade and a thumbscrew to secure it.

The blade holder is marked "Patented AUG 28 1877" which relates to Patent No.194,659: Patented Aug. 28.1877 HENRY DISSTON and JOHN H. VANDEGRIFT, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented certain Improvements in Handles for KeyHole Saws (see image from patent).
