This is a brand new old stock screwdriver was made before magnetism was discovered for screwdrivers or non magnetic ( such as Brass ) screws.

The blade is between 5.2 mm to 7.6 mm, as you can see in the photos this screwdriver will hold slotted head screws including non magnetic materials like brass, it works by fitting the screw to the blade and then move the sliding bush towards the screw which pulls the 2 parts of the split blade together making the blade thicker and therefore retaining the screw.

Due to age and storage although new and only used in the photos this screwdriver does have some patina.
