A beautiful Royal Worcester covered sauce bowl with underplate: in the elegant 'Royal Lily' pattern, featuring a wonderful blue & white floral design with colbalt blue & gold details.

Date stamped 1877, this example comes from a set retailed through Worcester's London showroom on Oxford Street, London - The Royal Glass & Porcelain Company.

This timeless pattern was reproduced by new owners Kerr & Binns in 1852, when they realised traditional Renaissance-inspired patterns were still sought after and Royal Lily was part of the Japonisme trend, with dragons, claws and highly decorative elephant head handles.

Extremely clean internally with the only notable damage being a tiny chip on the base of one foot.

Some wear in gold finish to the elephant heads.

No significant chips, cracks or stains.

Measures: 9.5" wide x 5.5" wide x 6" tall overall. Underplate: 8.5" x 6".

An ideal Wedding gift: a beautiful example of a practical piece of tableware that can still be used today. It will also display beautifully in a cabinet when not in use.
