The Ikoflex Favorit was the last camera in the Ikoflex line and this is a nice example. These cameras were produced between 1957 and 1960 by Zeiss Ikon.

This camera was film-tested with a roll of Ilford FP4+ that expired in 2013. Results were excellent and a sample image has been included.

Shutter speeds from 1/30 sec. and faster appear/sound accurate but speeds below 1/30 sec. may lag at times. The focusing action is a bit “spongy” which is typical of cameras of this age that have not been used much over the years. Old lubricants tend to dry up over time when cameras just sit on a shelf. This camera is very usable as-is but clearly hasn’t been serviced.

The light meter is very responsive and actually seems to work. Using the EV reading and exposure ring on the side of the camera, I think it’s displaying readings consistent with the Sunny 16 Rule. Not sure exactly how accurate but it may be in the right ballpark.

There is a metal label with the name “John” attached to the camera. I did not want to risk damaging the camera by trying to remove it.

The case has clearly seen better days but it is still trying desperately to hold itself together. Works fine for storing the camera but I wouldn’t recommend asking more of it than that.

No returns are accepted so please ask questions prior to bidding. Thanks!
