SARACIONE fans take note... here's a MINT SARACIONE SCA (Saracione Classic American) 3.25" fly reel  with 2 extra spools from a specially made run for THOMAS & THOMAS. It has a .85" spool width and weighs just under 7.75 oz.

Saracione produced these back in the mid 80's for several years primarily under his name and they are almost impossible to find, especially in this condition. Champagne anodized frame with black anodized spool and side plates. S-handle configuration. Unique spool removal design by a spring latch button on the tailplate that allows you to simply pop out and replace the spool. Click pawl spring drag that is adjustible from a control knob on the tailplate. Reversible RH/LH design by simply switching the pawl alignment.

Capacity for 80-100 yds of 20lb with a WF5 or 6 line. Load it with braid and you've plenty backing for small steelies. Throaty, Hardy-like click on the outgoing with a softer purring click on the retrieve. This is a solid reel that has the feel of a Bodgan, sorry Joe, the feel of a SARACIONE, reminiscent of a Bodgan. Its craftsmanship ranks up there with the best of the bench made reel gang.

Comes in a THOMAS & THOMAS sheepskin lined suede zip case. The 2 extra spools are stand alone without case. Truly a very collectible, very rare, and very fishable masterpiece.
