One of the key points in achieving high image quality is the quality of the film holder. The GT-X980 has redesigned the film holder from the design stage, improving strength and movability. Additionally, it incorporates an Anti-Newton Ring acrylic plate to reduce film bending and Newton rings, achieving improved scanning quality.
Furthermore, by using four different film holders, it supports various films such as 35mm strip/mount, Brownie, and 4x5 films.

For 35mm films, three strip films (negative and positive) can be set simultaneously for a maximum of 18 frames, and for mounts, continuous scanning of up to 12 frames is possible. Additionally, the scanning area is expanded to accommodate large 8x10 films (Note 2).

Strengthening the holder's rigidity
The rigidity of the holder itself has been strengthened, and the 35mm strip guide can be moved independently one by one, making it easy to install and significantly improving usability. It also considers ease of film setting.
