Description

HERE IS A PIECE OF  "RED"  TIGEREYE & HEMATITE TOTALING 2 POUNDS, 11.9 OUNCES FROM AFRICA!!  THIS IS PREMIUM MATERIAL THAT IS BRIGHT AND CHATOYANT AND WILL TAKE A GREAT POLISH!

I had a chance a while back to pick up some really premium hunks of tigereye with bands of hematite running through it.  This is some of the brightest chatoyant tigereye I have seen in a long time.  It is dense and solid and will take a super polish.  You won't often find large thick hunks this nice.  I have slabbed a lot of it and worked up a representative sample and it really works up nice.   I am listing a large piece that I have of this tigereye that totals 2 pounds, 11.9 ounces for this auction.  The size of the piece measures about 6"x3.75" and is approximately 1.65" thick.  So you should be able to get many slabs from it and then get a pot full of cabs out of the slabs.    The material is pretty solid with only a few fractures that I see mostly in the hematite.  It is very chatoyant and a bright reddish pink brown color.  It has pleasing bands of hematite running through it. Please note that some of the sides of the piece have a black and/or crystal coating on the outside which kind of hides the interior pattern but it will easily sand or grind off.  I have slabbed quite a bit of this material and there is virtually no waste on any of it except for the small rind on the top and bottom.   It will take a great polish and the black hematite will really highlight any cabs you cut out of it.  Please note that like all the other red tigereye being sold that this material is heat treated material, with the color change being permanent.  I am listing this hunk at a  price of $17.99 and it should be well worth the price.  You won't be unhappy with this hunk.   Look at the pictures which were taken with the hunk wet  inside using LED ceiling lighting in the morning on a rainy day with low outside light from the window.

I most likely will ship all my pieces USPS priority mail with tracking.  If you are unhappy with a purchase of any of my pieces, please contact me and I will gladly discuss what can be done to correct the problem. I want to have happy long term customers. Please don't leave negative feedback until you attempt to resolve any problems with me. I have decided I need to tell my customers that I do combine shipments for multiple items for a week or two if you want to try to bid on other items and cut your shipping costs.   Thanks for looking at my rocks.
