Disneyland Line
I'm listing an enormous collection of rare cast member newsletters from Disney, the long-published Disneyland Line newsletter for cast members. I'll be listing most of them in batches of 10 and in chronological order each evening as time permits, so please check back each evening to see new ones. It's a great way to add large batches to your collection!
These publications are treasure troves of historical dates, facts, figures, faces, places, and other behind-the-scenes details which were sometimes not shared with the public. Because they were intended for cast members, you'll learn a ton about Disneyland over time.
This auction is for 10 issues from the fall of 1977 into early 1978.
The contents include:
- November 3, 1977: Marketing Division's Creative Services Department artists and painters story; "The World of Artist Herb Ryman" - great interview with Ryman about his early work on Disneyland along with concept art photos
- November 24, 1977: Golden Horseshoe Revue story about it's New Class of '27 jazz show
- December 1, 1977: new Christmas parade; two-page photo essay showing that year's Christmas tree being installed
- December 8, 1977: Christmas decorations go up; Pete's Dragon movie opens well
- December 15, 1977: Candlelight Procession; Sir Edward's Store for Men opens at Disneyland Hotel
- December 22, 1977: Service Awards Banquet; cast member Christmas party coverage; Pete's Dragon soundtrack on sale
- December 29, 1977: New Year's Eve story; new Matterhorn show

- January 12, 1978: Mickey Mouse turns 50

Great historical content if you're a fan of Disney park history!
